Sr. Data Center Deployment Engineer

Our client, an IT Services organization supporting commercial and federal clients, is seeking a highly skilled, certified Data Center Deployment Engineer for their Professional Services team. The DC Deployment Engineer will need to have strong design, configuration, and deployment experience around ACI. Initially the DC Deployment Engineer will need to design, configure, and implement an ACI solution from an older Nexus platform. Also, this person will support, mentor, and enable other Professional Services engineers to carry out project tasks for overall success, in addition to performing high-level configuration tasks onsite or remote.

The initial contract is for 6 months with the potential to convert to FTE based on job performance and business needs. The selected DC Deployment Engineer will work remote and will need to travel to some degree depending on the project tasks/schedule. Unfortunately, it-s difficult to estimate exactly the level of travel at this time. Currently, most of the work is focused in the New England - New Hampshire area, but nationwide travel could be possible as well.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for Professional Services projects including full-scale ACI deployments from the Cisco Nexus to ACI platform
- Provide deep technical experience around Data Center technologies including ACI and BGP routing
- Perform project tasks as required
- Effectively manage time and be able to support multiple, complex projects simultaneously
- Design and implement a solution to understand inventory of order, cabling, configuration, and conversion of configuration to new platform
- Operate in a customer-facing role, and be able to provide clear, confident, and consultative guidance to senior customer staff.

Requirements
- Must be US Citizen due to client requirement
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background investigation including fingerprinting

Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Bachelor-s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years related experience in a field or deployment-based role.
- Active Cisco CCNP - Datacenter or CCNP - Enterprise + ACI Certification
- Extensive experience with Cisco ACI and high level BGP routing
- Must have strong design, configuration, and deployment experience around ACI.
- Strong understanding of fiber, power requirements, SFPs, single vs multi-mode fiber, and labeling best practice
- Ability to guide smart hands on-site
- Prior experience as a technical lead
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and nontechnical teams
- Excellent customer service skills
- Prior experience working with the government is preferred
- Must be detailed oriented with exceptional organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Additional active and verified professional level OEM certifications preferred
