Elite Technical is seeking a Azure Cloud Architect! This position is remote but requires residence in either EST or CST timezones. This is a 6 month contract position with the possibility of extensions. Responsibilities include:

- Provide and create detailed Infrastructure and Engineering designs that account for the end-to-end technical solutions of a system
- Assist with setting the architectural direction, build consensus, mediate conflicts providing technical leadership and advisory services to the business
- Anticipating needs and potential objections and helping to create an environment which solicits positive contributions from all participants: Solution and Technical Architects, engineering teams, product manager, project managers, product analysts, test and project teams, Information Security and Operations
- Demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills that are required to operate as a leading member of global, distributed teams that deliver quality services and solutions
- Monitor the progress and the quality of the project and reviews and develop due diligence to confirm the developed solution complies with architectural design

Required Skills

- Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance is required
- At least 5 years of Cloud experience with a thorough understanding of Azure or Azure Gov (Gateways, Firewalls, Containers, ADO, etc.) architecture
- Strong MS Visio skills, able to build architecture diagrams from scratch and update as needed
- Experienced architecting and designing technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using (Azure) IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities
- Claims-based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, JIT, and/or RBAC / Ping experience and knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM
