Elite Technical is seeking a Desktop/Workstation Support Technician to support our client, a community hospital system in Fishersville VA. This position is onsite, 5x per week and requires local travel to clinics in the Fishersville VA area (mileage reimbursement is available). The selected candidate will review, analyze, troubleshoot and evaluate end user computing devices including PC-s, Thin Clients, Printers, Scanners and other peripherals. They will have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures used to install, configure and repair end user devices. This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under immediate supervision. Specifics include:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all PC's and peripherals, whether stand-alone or networked.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware problems.
- Provide daily support for all local users, users at other facilities and remote users.
- Install/upgrade PC hardware/software when required.
- Ensure that PCs and related devices are properly configured.
- Act as interface between functional departments and the Information Technology Department.
- Conduct initial basic instruction for PC usage and application access.
- Documents and periodically audits all hardware, software and maintains all software licenses for inventory purposes.
- Provide basic administration of Active Directory.
- Install and configure all issued software on desktop and notebook computers.
- Other duties as assigned

- High School Diploma is required, Degree is preferred
- Must have a CompTIA A+ certificate or similar
- Seeking a minimum of 2-3 years of professional/corporate Desktop Support experience
- Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to communicate appropriately with both technical and business experts. Ability to provide EXCELLENT customer service to internal staff is critically important.
- Required Tech Stack: Windows operating systems, Active Directory, A/V experience, MS Teams and WebEx, basic WiFi/networking troubleshooting experience, Printer support, Scanner support
- Preferred Tech Stack: Citrix Thin Client, Dragon Mic,
- Good analytical, problem solving, and dedicated commitment to customer service.
- Possess ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assume responsibility and ownership of problems as well as be self-driven to obtain resolution to issue.
- Ability to prioritize tasks/projects for self and others.
- Ability to visualize long-range needs, trends, and goals to meet future IT demands
- Medium Work involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
