Business Analyst

Seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong documentation and requirement gathering abilities to assist with an update effort for their corporate technical manual. The candidate will have the responsibility to ensure that the business's need for changes to processes, policies and/or information systems are identified, understood, defined, documented and acted upon by eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, specifying and verifying the needs of business or user. The incumbent is accountable for the gathering and synthesizing of business requirements for moderate complexity software, systems, processes and/or services and translates them into specifications ensuring the business objectives are met. As the functional expert, the incumbent serves as a strategic conduit between the business area and the technical or software development team through which requirements flow.

Although this position is primarily remote, there will be occasional onsite meetings at our client-s Washington DC or Reston VA office. We are seeking candidates that are local to these locations to support this long term contract effort.

Required Skills

- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
-Experience: 5+ years as a Business Analyst. Must have strong requirement gathering abilities, documentation abilities, cross functional technical teams (Testers, Developers, Product owners, etc..) support experience.
- Healthcare Insurance organization is highly preferred
-Technical Stack Requirement: SharePoint, MS Word, MS Excel
-Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
-Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
