Our client, a leading federal defense contractor is seeking an Application Specific Integrated Circuit / Field Programmable Gate Array Engineer (ASIC FPGA Engineer) for our client's Undersea Systems Business Area.

The position is 100% Onsite in Canonsburg, PA.

You will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and development of ruggedized electronics equipment for the United States Navy and directly contribute to the technical and production success of our client's programs through hands-on technical contributions and leadership opportunities.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must be able and willing to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
- Clear understanding of embedded micro-processing systems, FPGA Design and Verification using VHDL, and digital circuit analysis and design
- Collaborative, creative thinker with high proficiency in technical problem solving
- Team player with effective communication and presentation skills
- Experience designing high speed interfaces and complex memory designs
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Desired Skills:
- VHDL / FPGA experience, Xilinx experience, Embedded systems experience, or C experience.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical and systems design is a bonus.
