We are seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to find meaning in data as a thought leader so that the derived knowledge can be used to make informed decisions and assist the organization in making better business decisions within our clients Machine Learning/AI environment. The selected candidate will engage in data exploration using various programming languages, then collect/analyze/interpret data to glean insights, and develop business appropriate recommendations. The selected candidate will serve as an expert resource supporting data questions and issues from stakeholders and driving to resolution, and produces technical documentation that is consistent with professional standards.

The main purpose of a data analyst is to find meaning in data as a thought leader so that the derived knowledge can be used to make informed decisions and assist the organization in making better business decisions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-25% Engages in data exploration using various programming languages (reading and writing code), requiring advanced knowledge of multiple database structures
-15% Collect, analyze, and interpret data to glean insights, and develop business appropriate recommendations
-15% Serve as an expert resource supporting data questions and issues from stakeholders and driving to resolution
-15% Research and analyze data flow across complex data ecosystem including operational and analytical data platforms
-10% Manage the collection of business and technical requirements from stakeholders to deliver data driven solution. Produces and reviews technical documentation that is consistent with professional standards.
-10% Lead in the design, development, validation and delivery of data to provide insight into business decisions
-10% Act as a mentor to all team members

Required Skills

- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree (In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is acceptable)
- Experience: 8+ years experience in an Data Analyst/Analytical/Quantitative related role. Has worked through building out source target mapping, ETL, strong mapping experience required for moving data around.
- Must have 3+ years experience working within a Machine Learning/AI environment/projects support (as a DA)
- Must have solid SQL Query skills to extra data from different sources
-Must have Python experience (basic understanding would suffice)
- Must be analytical, with a passion for extracting / reviewing data to expand digital product offerings. Curious minded individuals with motivation to learn new skills is critically important to the environment.
- Must have ETL Mapping tool experience (any would suffice, Ab Initio big plus)
- Must have Agile/Scrum background
- Experience within Healthcare Insurance Industry is HIGHLY PREFERRED
- AWS background is Required. AWS Services such as Athena, Glue, SageMaker
- Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time.
- Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
