Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has a long-term contract opening for Mechanical Engineer in their Florham Park, NJ location. As a Mechanical Engineer for Space, Cyber and Intelligence Systems business, you-ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing hardware for challenging maritime applications.

Required Skills

- Due to the nature of work performed, U.S. citizenship is required.
- May be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings, especially CREO), structural and thermal analysis, design for harsh environments (especially maritime).
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
- Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals
