Our client, a National Home Builder is seeking an Architect Residential Designer. This position plays a key role in ensuring the company delivers innovative, high-quality residential home designs. It requires exceptional design expertise, creativity, strong communication skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
The selected individual does not need to reside in Daytona Beach, but must be willing to travel/commute to Daytona, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando, the Venice area, and Wesley Chapel as needed. The primary focus will be Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, and Wesley Chapel.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and develop residential architectural designs across all product levels company-wide
- Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to develop new home designs and product offerings that differentiate ICI Homes in the marketplace
- Proactively introduce innovative, state-of-the-art design concepts and recommend enhancements to existing plans
- Partner with prospective homebuyers to support customization during the home-buying process, as needed
- Coordinate and manage architectural design projects from concept through completion
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve design-related issues during design and construction phases
- Research, review, and approve building product submittals
- Assist in resolving code review comments and design-related compliance issues
- Maintain accurate base plans using AutoCAD or other company-designated design software
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, and system layouts (electrical, plumbing, HVAC), up to engineering submittal
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Development to create lot-fit matrices for new communities and phases

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant residential design experience.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Florida Building Code (FBC)
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements
- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM platforms
