Certified VMware consulting professional needed immediately to provided operational technical support of VMware running under Linux environment. The location is a DoD client located in Fairfax VA, with a contract term of 12 months +. In addition, the consultant will be home based on Mondays and be onsite Tuesday to Friday.

Our compensation rates are at prevailing market wage for the area. Expectations and deliverables for this contract include:

1. Responsible for the operation of the existing VMware environment in addition to the build out/deployment into the existing environment.
2. Provide operation support to an existing team in a "NOSC" for a cyber training private cloud environment

Due to the nature of this contract engagement with the DoD, must be US Citizen clearable to obtain DoD Clearance. Candidates that hold an Active Secret clearance are preferred.

Required Skills

Qualifications to be considered include:
1. Must be US Citizen due to gov't requirement
2. Must be clearable to obtain DoD Clearance (Active Secret is preferred)
3. VMware certification is a Plus (VCP, VCAP, VCDX)
4. RHCE or RHCA Certification is a plus
5. 7+ years of IT Technical Support experience
6. Demonstrate background, ability and capability to support:
a. VMware vSphere, vRealize, VDI, and NSX Install
b. Linux Operating system, specifically Red Hat and Red Hat Satellite
